Capstans

Ridderinkhof Capstans are well known for its robustness, reliability, extreme long life-time and relative low maintenance.

Capstans are available from 2 up to 35 ton pulling force, electric or hydraulic driven. The warpinghead dimensions vary between 100 and 1000mm, electric or hydraulic driven.
Ridderinkhof capstans distinguish from the others in the robustness of their design. One of the examples is the bearing of the warping head. Commonly the end bearing of a planetary gearbox is used. The Ridderinkhof capstans are always provided with additional oversized roller type bearings for long lifetime.

Spare parts for the capstans can be supplied endless because we can produce them ourselves.

Capstans can be mounted with the motor and gearbox underdeck or in a pipe, watertight in a concrete hole along the quay or dock. Everything is possible.
