Ridderinkhof is a strong partner in designing and manufacturing custom built marine equipment.

Clients from all over the world consider us as a strong partner in designing and manufacturing of reliable custom built winch systems and they consign us to manage their biggest projects. Being fully focussed on winches since the year 1900, our know-how and experience enable us to make new designs very quickly and efficient. We calculate all aspects, have everything checked and certified by every class bureaus of  clients choice, (including DNV), we manufacture, test and commission the whole project.

We know everything about winches and for us there is no technical limit. Every business decision we make, is aimed at the long term, and we do not compromise on that. That`s why we never walk away for eventual barriers. With that we have confidence to actually give time unlimited guarantee on our design.

Design, production and assembly is only done in our own companies and plants in the Netherlands and Belgium, where we are able to make every  part of the biggest winch in the world, fully by ourselves, having total controll on the quality at the same time. This is the reason that we can deliver the most reliable winches in shortest delivery times at world class quality

Because of the combined strength of experience, thinking power and biggest production facilities, our company is used and able to take responsibility for the creation of  very big winch systems and projects. We do not only care of the mechanical winch scope, we also contract the power supply, -automation, - steel cable routing, all cable sheaves and fairleads, underwatersystems, -measuring systems, and fitting all this into the civil surroundings.      

As a result of that approach, we  have become a partner of the biggest one-off infra structural winch projects in the world.
Recent  examples are 120 tons hydraulical driven constant tensioning winch systems for Birla Copper in Dahej,  India, were ships are moored at a jetty in a bay, and are vertically moving on the tide with a difference of 30 meters between high tide empty and low tide loaded, and suffer from 10 knots tidal current in the mean time. Our winches keep the ships to the jetty with a constant force.
   
We delivered the slipway winch system for Arabic Ship Repair Yard ( ASRY) in Bahrain (
www.asry.net) , which can handle ships of 5000 DWT up to 140 meters length and 20 meters width. The 550 kW uphaul resp 200 kW downhaul fully automised winch systems, including the cables, -routing and all cablesheaves was our responsibility and scope of supply. 
We designed and delivered all winches , cables and sheaves for the waterlock bridges in Weurt Holland for the ministry of transport and waterways.(

We contracted the design and supply of 60 winchsystems up to 100 tons, for the whole complex  of new repair docks and harbours for NAKILAT in Qatar, Ras Laffan to keep the “supertrain”  of all Qatars LNG tankers in operation. (
